Peggy and I were at the Marina for about a week. This Marina sets across from Manhattan skyline. Very enjoyable. The staff was five stars. The restaurant was spotless. “ Wow I had such a wonderful experience at Liberty house. The restaurant is truly breathtaking with the open seating layout , and the view of the New York skyline is breathtaking. I went last weekend as my aunt graduated with her doctorate degree and took my family and I. We got some great family photos. I love how open and freeing the ambiance is in the restaurant. The decor in the outside gives an Alice and wonderland kind of vibe. Now on the the food, I ordered the artisan grilled cheese and it was full of flavor. My only wish was that there was less apples in the sandwich and they were caramelized a bit more for a nice reduction. But the grilled cheese was nice and gooey and the bread was crispy. We also ordered the hummus appetizer and seafood platter for the table and the calamari was nice and crispy . The hummus platter was amazing with a nice carrot texture and topped with an assortment of vegetables to pair with. For desert, I had the flourless chocolate cake. Oh my. It was chocolatey goodness paired with the whipped cream. I definitely had a food baby after leaving the restaurant. The servers were really nice and super attentive. I would definitely recommend just for the view alone. ”

“ About last night... Quarterly get together with 2 childhood friends finally led us back to Jersey City this time. Our criteria was any place that has a parking lot. Which if you're familiar with JC that's not easy. Liberty House is located inside of Liberty State Park and has the best views of midtown Manhattan. They have a very large parking lot that validates, just follow signs to the marina. Anyways... Our server Diana caught on rather quick as we always have catching up to do. She was fantastic all night. We finally shared 3 appetizers, Sicilian meatballs, calamari & citrus grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp was probably my favorite. Entrees were grilled pork chop, 12oz ribeye and Cavatelli pasta adding shrimp. Portions are very hearty here. You will definitely have leftovers if coming for a dinner. Dessert, no chance. Just a espresso and a few cappuccinos. Fine dining with a great view. Do make reservations to sit outside for a brunch & or dinner. This place will set you back a bit. One round of drinks, a discounted bottle of wine, 3 apps and 3 entrees plus coffee will cost about 125 each. Enjoy ”

“ Loved this place! I was in the area and was looking for a dinner spot. I ended up here. This is a wedding venue, but they also offer dinner service. I was in the area for an event, and I'm so glad I stopped by. I ordered the pork chops. We also ordered a hummus plate and meatballs. All of the food was fresh and flavorful. This was the best pork I've ever had. It was extremely juicy. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area and would order this again. I highly recommend coming here! ”

“ We went here for my boyfriend's birthday back in May, and really enjoyed our time! We sat at one of their outdoor tables, and we got to enjoy a nice dinner with a view of NY skyscrapers and a clear sky. Their yard is so cool! They have a giant chessboard, a lot of seating, and heaters to keep you warm when it gets cooler at night. Definitely go on a nice day and dine outside--the sunset on the city skyscrapers was so beautiful! We ordered the Steak Special for Two, and our desserts (which I can't remember the names of). Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! We also had this side of Pomme Aligot which is a dish of these cheesy, gooey mashed potatoes--it was AMAZING! I made sure to take what we didn't eat of that side home, it was too good to waste! The servers were so nice and personable and made great recommendations. They were very attentive to our table as well. I also appreciated that when we asked for a picture, they took it for us from multiple different angles! We had a wonderful experience and would definitely go back! ”

“ I brought the family here for dinner. They have their own parking lot which is free as long as you get your parking ticket validated. We had the meatball appetizer, unfortunately the meatballs were dry, I had the Ny strip for my main which was very good. The cocktail menu is a bit unique. I ordered an espresso martini which was not on the menu but quite good. Our waiter was great. The interior is beautiful and modern and there is a nice view of the city. It's a bit pricey but it's due to location. ”

“ The past few times I've been to the Liberty house I've attended events. I really like that they host events and it's such a beautiful space that anything you do there feels special. We came for an Easter event for kids, and an adult paint and sip. Both events were a great value and we had a lot of fun. I am not big on wine so before the paint and sip I ordered a Peach Froze from the bar and it was the perfect drink for the hot day. They also have a superb view of the NY skyline. If you come here for an event or meal, don't miss the beautiful walk through Liberty State Park & don't forget to validate your parking before you leave! ”
